This is my painful experience with Alpine North:

1. TWICE the jacket was shipped with a missing unit number on the shipping label. The first time it was returned by Canada Post to Alpine North with a note "missing unit number", but Alpine North sent it without the unit number AGAIN. The second time I was on the phone and chatted with Canada Post for three days in a row to fix the problem (not to mention I tried to persuade Alpine North to put the correct address but was told they did an excellent job and the problem is with Canada Post). The jacket was finally delivered solely due to my efforts but it was too late since it was a gift that should have been carried by someone who left by that time.
2. In their emails Alpine North falsely stated that they put the unit number on the shipping label and I should sort out the problem with Canada Post myself. Only when I showed them proof - a photo of the package they acknowledge the evidence and say they would investigate how it happened. I asked for the investigation findings but never got a reply.

3. Following the delay caused by Alpine North I had to pay international shipping ($80 by Canada Post) to send the jacket to the person I bought it for. Alpine North agreed to refund $30 in return I wouldn't post negative reviews. They claimed they did a "successful refund" on April 25th but today May 10th and no traces of the refund on my card transactions. Alpine North told me to ask my financial institution and Mastercard's representative confirmed no refund status. I paid for the order with this card and have proof on the transaction statement.

4. I decided to ship the jacked without waiting for the refund and opened its bag for inspection. The whole jacked was covered with some suspicious white dust. This was the last straw. I don't want to clean the jacket in addition to fixing all the problems I had with this purchase.

5. Now I want to return the jacket but I'm afraid to receive the same invisible "successful refund". I asked for Alpine North management contacts but still have no response.

6. I wasted too much time and was under a huge stress which had an impact on my mental and physical health.
